We had a nice relaxing Christmas weekend this year. On Christmas Eve, Devin's family came over for a delicious ham dinner. Devin and I were nervous about being in charge of the ham, but it turned out quite well (even if it took an extra 45 minutes than planned). We had a full evening of eating, decorating cookies for Santa, singing Christmas songs (it's not a Ross Christmas without singing "The 12 Days of Christmas"), opening presents, more eating, and listening to Grandpa read Christmas stories. After everyone went home, the girls opened their Christmas jammies, made food for the reindeer to sprinkle it on the yard, left cookies out for Santa, and headed off to bed.
Christmas morning, Piper woke up bright and early. I tried to put her in bed with us hoping maybe she would go back to sleep, but she wouldn't stop talking. We finally decided to just let her go wake up Payton. Present opening started out great -- the girls were both thrilled to see all the wrapped gifts and were really getting into it. After opening two presents, Piper decided she was done and wanted her breakfast. We had to get her some cereal to snack on while we all helped her open the rest of her gifts. After breakfast, we spent the rest of the morning putting all the new toys together. That evening we went to Devin's brother's house for more eating and a little Wii bowling tournament.
All and all we had a great weekend. The girls were happy with their loot, and it's still keeping them entertained so we're all happy.

Grandpa read the story of the first Christmas while the kids dressed up. Piper was a shepherd but she wanted to hold baby Jesus so we wrapped her lamb up in swaddling clothes.

I love the tent! I was thinking of getting Reese one...but then I remembered we live in a tiny apartment. So I decided against that one! Looks like you had a great Christmas!
