The weather has been really nice lately. Last week we took a trip to the "lake park" so Payton could ride her new bike around the lake. Payton discovered a flock of "geeselings" (a word she says she learned on Dora the Explorer). We followed the geese around and Payton was delighted to find that one had left a "fedder" behind. It was cute when she found the first one, but soon she had enough to make her own goose. We tried to convince her to leave them at the park but she wasn't willing to compromise. Melissa asked her what she was going to do with all the feathers and she said, "I don't know... make a bird house." A week later they are still sitting in our garage.

At first glance, it looks like Payton is actually holding a (dead) bird...thankfully that is not the case upon explanation.
