Birthday Girl

On April 1st, Payton turned 6. She planned her birthday for several months. Everything from the presents she wanted to decorations with a Strawberry Shortcake theme. She was very disappointed when we told her we weren't going to have a "friend party" this year, so we had to compromise and do a family activity. Much like her father, Payton thinks she needs to celebrate her birthday for several days so it turned into a weekend of celebration. Friday was her actual birthday so she took treats to school. She chose to have dinner at Mr. Goodcents and hot fudge Sundays at McDonald's for dessert (she's pretty easy to please). Then we went home and let her open a few presents. For her family activity we went bowling. Sunday we had Devin's family over for dinner and a little party. She received the coveted presents she requested, the Strawberry Shortcake Cafe and Rapunzel castle so she was happy. She was a bit emotional all weekend because Piper was trying to take over all the new toys.
This year she finally figured out what April Fools day is all about. She thought this was the coolest thing ever and dragged it out for several days.
Payton is a very sweet girl and we a so blessed to have her in our family. She is very patient which makes her a wonderful big sister and is the best little helper.
