Saturday we went with Devin's family to Schaake's pumpkin patch. As always, the girls LOVED it! Who could blame them? What's not to love about cows, pigs, chickens, a corn maze, and a tractor hay ride. The weather was gorgeous and the pumpkins plentiful. Piper ran from pumpkin to pumpkin unrealistically attempting to lift them off the ground. From there we went out to lunch and had our first delicious taste of Smashburger.
That afternoon, counsin Caden invited the girls over for a costume-themed birthday party. Aside from Piper going "buck wild" during duck-duck-goose, the party was a big sucess.
Sunday we carved the pumpkins. Devin and Payton take this very seriously; Piper has no interest at all. The picture below accurately portrays the carved pumkins, but they do not tell the whole story. You'll have to wait until Halloweem to see Devin and Payton's full plan. Stay tuned.
