Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend we were able to have our annual Labor Day gathering with some of our good friends from law school. Although the visit was brief, we had a great time. We did a lot of what we do best -- eating, laughing, and of course a little bocce ball. Unfortunately for the guys, their favorite restaurant, Zen-Zero, was closed for the weekend, but we were able to enjoy some Arthur Bryant's BBQ. Devin was also able to show off his "French culinary point of view" with a yummy breakfast Monday morning.
Payton has always loved Dave and Seth, but Piper has never wanted anything to do with them. She usually cries if they look at her or she feels her personal space is being threatened. This year she finally opened up her heart to the boys.
Thanks guys for making the trek to Kansas City and entertaining our children. We miss you already! Devin cries himself to sleep every night. Dave, I promise if you come back again next year I will make sure you have a extra-firm pillow and I won't freeze the meat!

Payton also had Tuesday off from school so we took advantage of the beautiful day and went to Deanna Rose Farm, one of our favorite places. As always feeding the goats was the highlight of the day.
