We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent Christmas Eve at Devin's parents' house with all his siblings and his grandparents. We are glad Michael and Christina were able to come from Idaho. The girls had a great time playing with their cousins, especially baby Adilyn. We are so excited to finally have another little Ross girl added to the family this year. And the rest of us enjoyed eating, eating, playing Wii bowling and golf, and more eating.
The girls got extremely spoiled again this year. Between all their gifts from grandparents, great-grandparents, and cousins, who needs Santa? Payton was excited again this year to leave treats for the reindeer and Santa. We put a plate of cookies by the fireplace and went to get the girls ready for bed and the next thing we knew Piper was eating Santa's cookies. Payton was worried Santa was going to be mad but we assured her Santa had plenty to eat that night and he wouldn't mind sharing with Piper.
Santa also went overboard this year. I don't know if it was the excitement of actually having a real pay check this year, or the lack of list making and forgetting what had been bought, or that our children have us wrapped around their fingers.
Despite all the snow -- which started Christmas Eve and continued for three days--we were able to get out and spend the whole weekend with family and had a great time.

Payton and Devin made an amazing gingerbread house.
This is our attempt to create our own nativity scene. While Grandpa patiently reads from the Bible the rest of us sit and laugh at the monsters we've created.
